Let Beck’s Ornamental & Turf Management, Inc. provide you with a custom irrigation system, designed to fit your yard. Our irrigation specialists use the latest equipment and technology to ensure your system is installed properly and efficiently!
Most commercial and residential irrigation systems are “in ground” systems, which means that everything is buried in the ground. With the pipes, sprinklers, and irrigation valves being hidden, it makes for a cleaner, more presentable landscape without garden hoses or other items having to be moved around manually.
A well-designed irrigation system can literally save a yard during extreme drought conditions!
“Why install an automated sprinkler system?”
-
- SAVE MONEY! – No extra expenses and guessing when watering your lawn. Control the amount of water you apply…at the touch of your fingertips. With added features like rain sensors, your system will run only when it needs to!
- SAVE WATER! – Your automatic sprinkler system is custom designed with your yard in mind. Use exactly the amount of water you need…each time, every time!
- SAVE TIME! – Never drag a hose through your yard again. Since your automatic sprinkler system takes care of all the watering, that leaves you time to enjoy your beautiful green lawn!
When considering installing an automated sprinkler system, remember these key things:
-
- It’s the most convenient and efficient way to ensure your lawn and ornamental plants get the water they need…without overdoing it. Never over water again!
- When properly installed and maintained, an automatic sprinkler system will actually help conserve water. By providing uniform coverage, automatic sprinkler systems ensure no waste!
- Attractive landscaping requires substantial investment and careful maintenance. An automatic irrigation system will protect that investment by assuring healthier, longer living plants and turf. Plus, installing a system is a convenience “upgrade” that will measurably increase your property’s appraised value and curb appeal!

Tree Care
Whether you have owned your home for years, are considering the purchase of a new home or enhancing your current property with trees, there are some guidelines to follow. Try to purchase resistant varieties, use proper spacing for when they mature, proper planting depths and always give them a good start. Homeowners with existing trees need to keep a careful eye for any deviation from the tree’s normal conditions.
The old adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” holds true to your trees and shrubs. Proper fertilization practices will ensure a healthier, happier tree!
Trees are one of our area’s natural beauties. Deciding when and how to treat can be difficult to the average homeowner. However, there are arborists, state foresters, soil conservation districts and licensed applicators in Forestry and Ornamentals to advise you with your tree needs. Beck’s Ornamental can assist you with all your needs.
ArborJet Tree I.V. System
Beck’s Ornamental & Turf Management is now offering the latest technology breakthrough in the treatment of insect and disease problems in trees. ArborJet injection system is environmentally friendly, highly effective (a single treatment often lasts several years), and is the safest option for keeping your property free of chemical residues! Injection method has become the #1 choice for resort owners. Golf course, hotel, ski, and other resorts can protect their valuable landscape without harmful off-target pest control applications. Applications can be applied during normal business operations.
Unlike the traditional approaches of spraying and soil application, the Arborjet system keeps the treatment inside the tree, eliminating chemical exposure of the air, soil or groundwater. It’s healthier for your trees, for you, your family and your pets!
Tree & Shrub Care Programs:
3-4 applications/year
Insect and Disease Applications: Targets problem insects and helps prevent /control disease problems. Treatments are done by using insecticides, fungicides, or a combination of both. Our insecticides are formulated to work immediately to eliminate insects that can destroy trees and plants in a safe and effective manner. This is done by an injection process into the tree or by spraying in uniform coverage. The fungicides are used as suppressors and protectors against hard to suppress tree & plant pathogens. The number of applications will vary depending on the type of treatment or condition of the tree or shrub. Treatments are applied in April/May * June/July* Aug./Sept.
Tree Fungicide/Disease applications:
Minimum of 2 per year. Maximum 3-4 applications a year
Includes treatments for Oak Wilt, apple scab, canker, verticillium wilt, anthracnose, rhizosphaera needle cast, and more. Treatments are active for approximately 6 weeks.
Tree insecticides:
We apply 3-4 applications/year.
These applications will treat for Mites, beetles, aphids, borers, weevils, apple maggots, moths and more. Treatments are active for approximately 6 weeks.
Deep Root Fertilization Program:
2 applications /year. Spring & Fall
We use a tree & shrub root enhancer & foliage fertilizer. This will promote root, tip, & leaf growth, improve flowering, and increase resistance to insects & disease. It also helps compensate for poor soil.
Spring Deep Root Fertilizer: This is applied in the spring as soon as the soil is free of frost. Fertilizer applied in early spring is available for the tree to use as soon as growth resumes, since root growth begins before leaf development.
Fall Deep Root: To be of greatest value to the tree, fertilizer should be applied in the fall, after the growing season. In Michigan, this is usually after the middle of September. Since root growth can continue until early December or later, fertilizers will be available and beneficial to the tree. Any fertilizer not used at this time will be available when growth resumes in the spring. We apply two applications/year.
